Teen Central

The Charles County Public Library offers an area specifically for teens 12-18. This area features its own selection of books, computers, and quiet space. Enjoy reading in the designated teen area, collaborate with other students on school projects or participate in one of the many teen programs available at the library. The purpose of the Teen Space is to centralize information and recreation resources of teens while offering them a safe, supportive, and positive space that is uniquely their own.

Teen programs include games, movies, film club, art and entertainment.

Some programs require registration, but all teen programs are free! For more information, contact our teen librarians.

Study

The Teen Space at the Waldorf West branch features a dedicated study room for teens to work alone or in a group on homework or special projects. .

Computer

The computers in the Teen Space are intended for use by teens in grades 6-12. Each desktop computer features internet access with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint software.

Gaming

The Teen Space features a Media Lounge for gaming. The Lounge consists of a 60” tv and a Play Station 4.
