Do you like writing stories or poetry? I do too, but sometimes, I run out of things to write. *Sigh* What can I do?

What to do, what to do … Oh! I have an idea! I will make “a something” by following a prompt! A prompt? What is that?
A prompt is the act of assisting or encouraging a hesitant speaker. In the writing world, it is a sentence used to inspire a story or a poem.
I will give you an example.
Here is the prompt: Leaves fell down from the trees.
Here is what this prompt has inspired me to write:
Leaves fell down from the trees, flashing amber and gold like pieces of metal. The girl picked them up and placed them in her dark hair. Her new ornaments looked like stars in a night sky.
Cool, isn’t it? I find that it helps me practice trying things I never would have thought of before. Would you like to try some prompts too?

The pumpkins were large and small, obtuse and askew, with corkscrew vines …
