The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Outlook Handbook online is a great resource for finding all the up-to-date information you need to start (or change) the path to a rewarding career!

Check out their new section where you can type in a college major or degree and find possible career paths!: Career fields by college major.

Find information such as work environment, training, pay and future opportunities for specific occupations! Here is an example of an occupation near and dear to our hearts: Librarian career.

You can browse for occupations by category such as highest paying, the projected fasting growing and the projected most new jobs. Here is one in the highest paying category:  Physicians & Surgeons.

You can search by an occupational grouping if you don’t have a specific occupation. Here’s an example: Office & Administrative Support Occupations.

If you aren’t sure of an occupation, you may want to browse the alphabetical list where you see at a glance the educational requirements, average pay, and projected number of new jobs and growth rate: Alphabetical listing of careers to browse.
