The Charles County Public
Library offers book discussion groups in two of our branches.
All are welcome. Anyone interested in joining can contact their library
with the information below or visit the reference desk at their nearest
branch.
La
Plata Book Discussion Group:
The La Plata Book Group meets at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of
every month. Contact

or visit the La Plata reference desk to put a hold on a club book.

The Adult Book Discussion Group meets the first Saturday of every month
from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. Anyone
interested in joining the Waldorf Book Discussion group can

will place a copy of the book on reserve for you. Our

What is all the fuss and excitement about Jane
Austen?
Come to the Jane Book Discussion in Waldorf and find out! Austen wrote
over 200 years ago but her popularity only continues to grow. Numerous
film versions of her books and life have recently been released. Anyone

theme
“If Jane Austen was on Myspace or Facebook”.
Austen’s
background and books will be discussed.
Sunday, May 4: Northanger Abbey
There will be no meeting during the summer. In
September, Pride and Prejudice will be the book of the month.
